Millenium Decking

can millenium be trusted to keep the area below the deck dry? Our salesperson says it can, and wants to show us some decks to prove it. Just wondered if anyone has used it for this purpose?

Re: Millenium Decking

Is it just me, or do the first 4 pics on their gallery page look fake? Like something out of a 3d rendering program?

I dunno, I haven't ever heard of them but it's a hollow wood/plastic composite. Doesn't seem like the most structurally sound thing out there...but hey, if the salesman says it'll work, by gosh he wouldn't lie to ya, would he?

Re: Millenium Decking

Dry, as in waterproof? If so,... No! The only difference I see is the boards are at a 45 instead of a 90. The assortment of trim options are nice. I would have to see the material in person to make a better judgement. After looking at their site I have noticed one of my local distributors carries the product, I may check it out more closely.

Re: Millenium Decking

Man is that stuff ulgy or what, they have their ass covered with that warrenty all they will do is pay for some more of the same no labor no nothing else. Everything else is not their fault.

They say up frount its not a water proof thing, That calk the joints thing is completly strange all I could figure out is the stuff moves around so much the calking is suposed to expand/contract and keep the Wallet from seeing the big gaps.

I think the stuff sucks it looks more like sidding than decking. John
