Question

Mass Deck Footing Codes

A guy across the street from where I am working presently wants a small deck installed. I have redone exsisting decks but am yet to do one from scratch and am trying to find out the code for footing spacing and depth in Massachussetts with out having to buy $50 dollar code book.

Re: Mass Deck Footing Codes

You should be able to call the permit office... They should tell you right over the phone unless you have varying soil types all around with differant ratings. You could always go 4' then your safe.
