Ledger Board Flashing, Inside Corner

What material do you use and how do you flash an inside corner where two ledger boards meet on ACQ?

Re: Ledger Board Flashing, Inside Corner

hej Mickey (no pun intended), when I flash "down and over" (z/c-5 copper edge, or roll for that matter) I do it much the same way as you would do an apron and a step flash coming together on a roof, then put a generous dab of acrylic elastomeric caulk over the "crook" . when flashing agains stucco, I go "between up and over" with york roll and leave the roll long past the end grain abbutting the wall , then pleate the upper exposed protion, the whole ledger would get bevel ripped and caulked with same caulk to make a fillet between ledger and wall.

Galv. flashing, cut the bottom leg & bend to create the inside corner. Seal the overlap made by the cut.

Re: Ledger Board Flashing, Inside Corner

Thanks for the responses, I have a sub (should have done it myself, but didn't have the time) who used aluminum (the ledgers are treated CA-B, I thought it was ACQ), left big gaps and seems to think it's OK, "everyone does it that way". I use copper, stainless (if spec'd) or vinyl (pre-formed and bendable) with butyl rubber caulk, I have seamed and soldered copper on an inside corner before. I'm having them re-do it but was curious how others do it. I printed out your responses and showed them to him.
