Re: IPE Question

umm, John maybe we don't wanna use the BM initials ............ just a thought.
I never have forgiven, not really, my parents for giving me a name with those initials! Try going through grade school with 'em!
I remember when my brother & sister in law were naming their child and they came up with a name that had the same initials............... I very quietly and calmly said WTF are you thinking!

So you can call me anything but BM or late to dinner!
I will usually answer to Brian, Bubba or Bubba-mac.

I have found out that 1x6 IPE decking when submerged for 48 hrs and then placed in the sun does not suffer any ill effects.
I know this because I made a 4'x4' mock-up with some IPE, treated pine frame and s.s. screws, threw it a pool and let it sink to the bottom.
I then told the HOA pull it out whenever you'd like throw it in the sun and call me after you notice it does exactly like I told you it would, NOTHING!
Well they were tickled and I just signed a contract with them for a rather large IPE deck and rails!! Oh! Happy Days!
Cool.
Good to know next time I get
a call from the submarine service.
