Ipe Around A Pool?

Is Ipe suited for around a pool. I have a pool deck to replace that runs along the concrete coping all the way around the pool. It's 4-5' above grade, so air shouldn't be a problem. My concerns are:

How slick it will be after staining?
Will chlorinated water harm the finish?
Is 3 times labor a safe bet?
What jig saw blade to use for the rounded cuts along the pool corners?
I am also planning on using 5/4x6 pre grooved with the IPE Clips....is there a better way?

I have read dozens of posts about Ipe, so I know to wax the ends, plug the screws in the end board etc. Any other advice would be great.
Thanks in advance
Jay

I don't technically know the answers to your questions about Ipe, but I spent two weeks in Kauai in July and at the house I stayed at, everything outdoors including the pool deck was Ipe. It was a multi million dollar home with a covered outdoor kitchen/entertaining area, all made of Ipe. Huge viking bbq/range hood combo...It was actually a vulgar display of money spending.

Ipe is fine for a pool deck we have done several of them. I do not recomend using the clips at all. Normal wood working tools, carbide blade, high quality jig. John
