Help Identifying Composite

I haven't dealt with composites much so I"m not sure what this is. I think it might be Weatherbest Tropical in Cypress color, but not sure. The rail definitely looks like Weatherbest according to their website photos, so I assume the decking is too. It's on a really crappy builder deck on an nicer home. Can you guys help me identify this so I don't have to drive to every lumber yard & home store matching samples? Sorry the quality of the decking isn't very good with the rain.

Thanks,
Dan

Re: Help Identifying Composite

It looks like a low-grade Fiberon deck to me- what's the brand HD carries?

Re: Help Identifying Composite

Could be Weatherbest, could be Premier, might be Veranda like Matt says, or just one of the many names for the same Fiberon, like Portico or Profection. But it's definitely not one of the tropical colors - it's probably just 'gray' or 'weathered wood'.
However the railing is interesting, that's something different - I think it might be, based on that brushed surface, Nexwood or Xtendex. Both of which are out of business! Pop off that postcap and show us some more pix -

Also look on the bottom, there might be a code printed, or an end tag.
If you want to figure out where the builder got it, remember that alot of them shop at one-steppers like ABC Supply - because that's where they get their roofing and siding.

Re: Help Identifying Composite

It's a relatively new home, 6 months or so, & they are sleeves if that helps any. I was thinking the builder probably got it at the same yard he gets the house lumber, which would more than likely be 84 or Carter lumber here, & 84 sells LP. Carter sells TimberTech which I know it's not. Adding that it's probably a cheaper brand being a builder deck, which brings me back to LP.

Re: Help Identifying Composite

That is NOT a TimberTech decking or railing product. I also have my doubts that it is a Fiberon product either.

Usually, the most definitive feature are the post caps and skirts.

Re: Help Identifying Composite

If it has a brushed pattern and a very faint wood grain, it could be LP's Weatherbest.
