A Good Deal?
This was faxed to me today. I can't take advantage of the deal because of cross border import concerns, not to mention $$$$. However, maybe some of you can.
www.Surplusplywood.com Att'n John Holden 856-216-1900 x 10 truckloads available of 5/4x6x16' Trex. Style Brazilia in Burnish Amber Price $1.00/ft F.O.B. Carney's Point, N.J. Good luck. If someone makes a killing on this send me a coffee! |

Re: A Good Deal?
I wonder if these are the same clowns that go around Ontario holding building material auctions. I went to one once to see what it was all about. The bunks of Trex they had were certainly not a bargain.

Re: A Good Deal?
RUN!!!!
Legal action has been filed, from what I understand. You do NOT want to be a part of this. It's "off market" Trex that shouldn't be sold. It has no warranty, and it's doing some serious damage to the local economy for a few deck builders (want to bid up against a guy who's paying 70% less for his decking?? but has no company backing). Please email or call me if you need any additional information. ~Matt |

Re: A Good Deal?
I wouldn't even use it on a fishing pier. My supplier offered me some old trex @ .50 per lf. when I was building my fishing pier down at the coast, "no thanks I'll take the TP @ .75"

Re: A Good Deal?
Makes sense. I can't touch it anyway. With exchange, shipping, customs, etc, by the time I got it here I wouldn't save anything.

But trex will not cover warranty? |

Re: A Good Deal?
yup.
Think of it as damaged material that they bought back, and it was to be unloaded overseas where it could be sold "as-is"... and someone stole it. That kind of an analogy... ~Matt |
