Footing Size


Digging some deck footings in York, PA anyone know what size and depth for that area?

I usually decide my size depending on how far apart posts are, depth is always 4' where I live. So say I wanted to span southern pine joists 16' and post spacing was 12'. Then I would use 3- 2x12's for a beam and for footings in clay would be 24" and corner footings would be 17"...

your depth is 36" below grade. diameter sould be approximatly 12". for best quality pour 3000# concrete to 3" above grade
