Finished Deck PICS!


thought i would intro myself and show a deck i finished last month minus gates post some tomorrow comments wecome good and bad

I like it! Looks like top quality work. You even blocked off the doors so no dummy would fall out and sue you.

looks nice!! What's holding up the middle two stair stringers? Looks like the blocks are cut to fit in between the stingers and stringers are sitting on the ground.

decking was TT with TT raidence rail with conceal locks 2x12 beams 2x10 joists 6x6 support posts fully boxed around handrail posts all 5/8 bolts ect.ect. will have pics tomorrw of gates

stair stringers are sitting on a 2x12 flat with the posts on small peirs

the pics of framing dont show the bolts, didnt do it yet at that time but it did get done 12'' footers 36'' deep (code here in PA) took 14 days by myself not including the planning and gates

my one complaint is there is no dark walnut boarder on the deck top around the edge so it was "Picture Framed" I'm a dumbass sometimes

Very nice work. If you ever come to Canada and need work...
The only major difference here is that we wouln't normally bolt the beams to the side of the post. We would put them on top of the post and use gussets on the side.
Also, our "fashion" here is that 95% of our decks have a skirt.

It appears to me that he notched his posts for the beams. What type of skirt do you generally use?

what do you mean by a "skirt"? and the posts are notched and bolted
The part that sucked was the 20 holes i had to dig lol
