Finding Stockade Pickets In Chicagoland!?!

Ok...

So I need about 35' of individual stockade style fence pickets...

I've casually been by 84 lumber, Hines, Crafty Beaver, Lowes, Menards, and Home Depot... Guess what..

Everybody wanted to sell some panels. I don't want panels... A guy at Hines said a lot of guys make their own on site.

Can anybody tell me where I can pick these up? I'll come to you.

You know.. the ones that are 2" - 3"+ in width.. 6' tall!? Thin rounded face and pointy top!?

"Well, we have dog eared...?" BFD!

Come on.. You guys really helped when I needed to find a steel gutter system. Tanks!

Whats wrong with buying the whole section ? Most all places around me stock assembled sections that are shipped from canada, need loose pickets bang em off a section. have you tried to order them from one of the local fence companies ? I know the fence companies i deal with can order stuff like that.Special project?

It's coming to that...

Seems silly. When I was a kid we had individual pickets!

Where I'm putting them, I don't need sections. I was trying to avoid the waste and labor. I was already at all of the aformentioned stores for some of my other projects.

What about Fox Home Center in Alsip? They had a fire but they're open:
CHICAGO
11150 S. Cicero Ave
(708) 636-3500
Ask for Dennis. Many fence options. And CorrectDeck CX!

Menards has them, outside by the treated lumber, I bought several recently to replace broken ones. I got them at the one on North Ave. in I think it's Melrose Park not the Glen Ellyn/Wheaton one. But it was hit or miss for me, sometimes they have them, sometimes not. Call around to several Menards.

This weeks (06-24-07) Menards flier.
