Fiberon, Never Again!
I will NEVER use Fiberon decking again. I usually use TimberTech decking and let a homeowner talk me into giving Fiberon a try because they picked out one of their colors. Put it down and a month later the "cap" over the core started coming off. Fiberon guy came out and looked at it and said they wouldn't warranty it because in their opinion there wasn't enough pitch on the deck for water drainage. The worst part is he told the homeowner that it was an install problem not a product problem!! Never once did I have this issue with TimberTech!!!! Anyone else run into this?

Re: Fiberon, Never Again!
Ummm... I find this hard to believe, can you please post some pictures. Once that is complete go to the person above the rep, that is a warranty problem (if it's as described) and you should have it replaced without issue. I've never had any issue even close to that happening and I've got 5 year old Fiberon Horizon decks out there.

Re: Fiberon, Never Again!
seems like a setup to me.
Who are where are you from, what's the name of the rep. I have never tilted a deck for any reason real or imangined. We went through six trucks last year, 3 the year b4 and have never had any problems. I have a truck on the ground now and 2 more on the way. You have nothing about you on your profile, just mystery man making blanket statements. Last edited by killerdecks; 12-22-2012 at 10:34 AM. |

Re: Fiberon, Never Again!
Hmmmm Fiberon has actually been my recent go to board. I'm curious this spring what happens with azek and Tt pricing. I'm sure the Capstock will be overpriced once azek has their hands on it. I typically get fiberons Capstock 1.00 less per lf not figuring in their rewards system.

Re: Fiberon, Never Again!
Only problem we've had with fiberon was i think the EverNew stuff, harbor grey. HO put one of those rubber backed door mats down and it bleached a spot out under it. No question asked the 2 bad boards were replaced.

Re: Fiberon, Never Again!
I do remember a Capstock having problems about a year ago in professional deck magazine. Though I think the claims were false

I've seen problems with capstock before, but it wasn't fiberon.

Re: Fiberon, Never Again!
What are you guys talking about? Seriously, I ask a simple question whether anyone else has had the same experience and this is how I am treated. I was hopeful that someone had experience the same problem and been able to find a way to get the problem taken care of.
So how long have you guys been on the Fiberon payroll anyway? Last edited by MidWestPro; 12-22-2012 at 08:26 PM. |

Re: Fiberon, Never Again!
Here is a simple question. What is your other screen name?
Here is another, how long have you been on the Timbertech payroll? Do you have pictures of this failure? Another pretty easy one.. |

I don't feel that I have to answer to the likes of you. I don't know why but some of you people are paranoid. I posted a while back about another deck product when someone asked if anyone had isntalled it and said that I thought it was a great product (I had done 25 of them) and was accused of crap then too. Get over it, the world isn't out to get you!!! |
