Fiberon Horizon

Fiberon Horizon with PermaTech

So I just saw this today, which is new for them and Correct Deck as well. I know Greg, I live in a slooow town and that is the first I have actually seen that product.

I know quite a few people have not seen this either.
The guy with Fiberon told me that it was cheaper than CD.

I know very little about other brands that are not easily available around here.

Tell me what you think about this VS other brands.

I got a free bag of Tiger Claw TC-G's!!

Re: Fiberon Horizon

When you add up the total cost of a deck project using any of the premium line products the prices come within a couple hundred usually. While 1 might be a little cheaper decking the fascia might be a bit more. Or the railings are a lot more. Then you find one with more expensive decking but the fascia and rails are less. I just ran the numbers on CX 256 SQ FT VS Horizon 256 SQ FT and it CX was $153.16 more. Not a huge amount.

I would like to use horizon but they do not have a 2x4 and that will make it a very hard sell around here. I have only sold 1 deck with a rail "kit" most people here hate the look of them. One day I will sell it... but it will probably be with custom welded rails.

Re: Fiberon Horizon

They do have a couple of things that I like over CX (none of these will turn me off to CX by any means) Double sided boards are nice so if damage is done to boards its a little easier to deal with, 10 yr fade warranty can look nice to customers. The nail gun they have for installing would be quicker for install.

I have samples in the backyard along with many other products. They may earn a spot on the deck trailer... but they still have not given me a board to install on it.

Fiberon has a great sales kit, similar to the Timbertech and Azek ones. You know, the mini suitcase.

Re: Fiberon Horizon

It looks a bit odd to me. I dunno... It just looks like it'd be hot (real hot).

Can't put my finger on it.

The Fiberon rep is taking me out next week for a wine and dine. We shall see.
