Fence Requirement Around Dumpster

I know the obvious, check w/ the city/county, but I'm dealing with a national maintenance company who oversees apartment complexes and looking to replace dumpster enclosures (no gate on front). Is the typical requirement 6'? Just off hand, is there a requirement for gated access when the container holds food refuse (as in the case of a restauarant)?

Has anyone built one with bollards (6x6 posts) set in concrete behind the dumpster to keep it from sliding back into the fence? My first thought was a 6x6 post even in concrete may not keep a 20klb garbage truck from advancing, but it was requested for that very purpose.

I DONT KNOW about the gated access requirement, i do know that the 6x6 bollard will fail under the weight of a truck, which is ok, you must view the bollard as a sacraficial detail, it will most likely protect the fence, but will have to be repaired if contact is made.

sacrificial element-good term. ever hear/see of a sleeved insert to allow for future replacement of the bollard (6x6 in this case)? I could devise something by bending an aluminum skin (use a brake) and wrap the post before setting in concrete. There is the no aluminum in contact w/ PT wood issue, but don't know if it would matter in this case.

Drawings always required a 6" iron pipe
filled with concrete.
Never had one request wood.
