Fence pricing

Can anyone tell me the average labor rate for installing a three board fence? Also the average price for painting a three board fence? I am located in central va and want to stay competitive. Thanks for the help.

I'll assume you are saying a 1x6 or 1x8 nailed to the face of a flat post?I do a per post price on all fencing, something as simple as that should fetch around $30 to $40 per post, labor only,of course if its only 2 or 3 post, you need to charge min, My min is $350

Are you talking about a simple 4x4 post with 2x4's between and 1x6 dog ear fence boards?

actually, what works for me on standard redwood fencing is the cost in materials, times two, plus twenty percent.
