Deckboards Replacement Only - Pricing Help, West MI

Hi all,
I'm in West Michigan and I worked for the same builder for last 3 years (me and two ther guys). Yesterday he said that he wont need me anymore, because the "things" are going slow. So I'm out of work. Well, we've been laid off for 9 weeks since Christmas, so I have lined up few projects for myself. There are many subs out of work here. Couple of carpeteners I know moved out of state - one to NC, other to Chicago.
This is how it looks in MI. But getting down to my question...
I'm going to bid on 1559 sf deck. It's placed all around the house and the house is up on the hill.
How much should I take for the labor (top boards replacement ONLY, remove old deckboards(they're nailed), screw new 5/4s)?
Thanks.

No way to tell on that Bro,depends on how bad you really need it.
One thing if the decking was 1 1/2'' material and your going back with 5/4 and the joists are on 2' centers you got problems right from the git go. J

Thanks for answer John. Yeah, I thought about 2' layout problem, but I spoke to HO today and he decided to go with composite 5/4, so 2' centers are fine.

What brand is that? The only composites I have seen that span 2' centers is a full 1 1/2" thick.

I would upsell him to adding in joists to bring it to 1' centers and then skin with composite. It will make his deck very nice and sturdy.

John agrees with Roberet, 5/4 composite will bow in the middle with the joists on 16'' centers. TimberTech T&G is the only composite I know about that can go over 2' oc joists. upsale the job J

What these guys said is correct. Adding joists is no big thing.
We get $12 a SqFt including correct deck, which works out to about $6for labor and removal of old decking. (no joist added for this price.

We did do one "reskin" with correct deck on 24" ctrs (OK per correct deck specs) and it was just a little soft.
