Deck Arbor

I have a deck arbor supported by 4x4 posts. I think the posts are just attached to the outside of the deck frame, which could be reinforced. One of the support posts has a vine growing up it and across the top for shade, however, the plant is pulling the whole arbor towards it. The homeowner wants to keep the plant. Any ideas on how to straighten this?

Re: Deck Arbor

Ill try and get a pic when I go reevaluate it. I'd say it is about 1' out of plumb. I'm thinking about using a ratchet winch and strap it to something, but I dont think there was anything in close enough range to strap it to.

And I appreciate the help.

Re: Deck Arbor

Try a comealong, around the beam at the top to something down at the bottom. If you have a big tie down strap like used on lumber deliver trucks that will work too. Used one on a big oak tree that was moving a deck out of wack.
