We just decked a new frame like that this spring, the builder had 80% of the posts hanging off the footings like that. Inspector didn't even say a word about it

And a picture of the house where the smallest people in the world live, it was just aroud the corner from the house above.

Last of her 15 years, arthritis got so bad I had to build a "handicapped" ramp for my dog. Due to her cataracts she was nearly blind, and I had to put on railings just like that so she didn't step off the side.
She amazed me, I only had to lead her down it 3 times and she got it.
My rails were prettier than that though!

Couldn't they have at least set the tubes at the same height or maybe within two inches rather than six. At least then when they put dirt at the base of the posts to cover up that huge screw up, it would have looked halfway decent

I see 10 holes and 9 screws. So the answer to what's left out is 1 screw?

Dude's got no shortage of good things to say about himself either. Yes, he does very nice work but wow, all I can say is he has a very healthy ego.
Some crazy decks on his trash talkin' page though...

What I meant is if he thought this pic was a GOOD one (or good enough to show off his "crapsmanship") What pics did he NOT put on the website? How bad did they have to look if this is "good".
I think I could get a straighter line with my eyes closed.

Mr. Deck is very amusing... I have been reading his page for about 2 years now. I wish he would update his stuff a little more often.

Robert is a Hoot to talk to, the Ol Boy has been in the Business for a while. The plastic lumber thing would take a strong learning curve I cant even figure out how he makes the joints.
There is some really bad work out there but to go on and put it on your site is just asking for it. John

Here is some more I found floating around my computer. The staircase is one I replaced after the first contractor did such a horrible job at it. There was less than 24" in between the posts at the bottom. The platform was so small you could barely turn the corner on it.
The other 2 were from a new construction house accros from a project I did about a year ago. My customer told me how the builder was all proud of the job the guys did on the deck. Looks great... I wonder if they were blind or just dumb. They even used gray screws on a red deck.
