Covering Underside Of Deck

can i put aluminum soffit on bottom side of treated joists if it is going to stay dry? I have heard that moisture is what causes the acq lumber to be corrosive. Would a barrier such as tar paper or house wrap be required on the bottom side of joists?(1 1/2 strips on each joist).

thanks.

I would advise against it, unless you use some type of barrier between the treated and the aluminum. Our Aluminum supplier has a product called UnderDeck. The company is quaility Edge. Not cheap, but very nice.
