Another one post wonder. After seeing our comments I doubt he will be back.

Sad day, think of the things we could have learned from this guy.

Re: Composite Deck Good Or Bad

Regular Senco staples and PL400 worked great. Hard to believe it's been over 14 years and the deck still lays flat. Maybe it's the shade tree that prevented the twist, cup and warp. Last week I shot 450sf treated deck in full sun and after the first rain saw some end warp. This week I'll shoot a treated boardwalk in partial shade but its the 1200sf composite deck scheduled for next week that I'm curious about. Does it gum and dull blades?

The old style trex would dull blades in a hurry, they'd throw anything into the pot making that crap back then. Other than that I would say no.

So you toe nailing those staples or straight in on top? 14 years eh? Figured staples would be about rusted away by now.

Re: Composite Deck Good Or Bad

Billy Boy Im using the Veranda top screw boards and i love it. It is taking me way longer than nailing in some wood boards but thats because im pre drilling (I think a better look). Cuts amazingly smooth but it does scratch very easy.
