Cable Railings For Deck
Hey deckers,
I am about to do a job for someone who wants a correct deck with cable rails. I have never installed cable rails before and would like a little insight. I have searched the threads with not much luck so I am hoping some of you may know some ideas to share or some web sites with information and ideas. The deck will be about 8' off the ground, measure about 22'x16' with the two outside corners cut off for a "softer" look. The deck will have a inlay look with the fascia boards meeting flush with the planks. Thanks, Norm |

Re: Cable Railings For Deck
Before you jump into the job, make sure what he is thinking of can be permitted.
The lateral strength and spacing issues can get very involved. If it is a "packaged" system that is just be installed, you will still have to be concerned with the codes.
