Building A Screened Porch Atop A Deck

Can anyone provide info on converting a 12x14 PT deck into a screened porch? The beams are spaced about a 16-20" from the edge of the deck I would propose building the bearing wall. I was considering an easy shed style roof-or a more elaborate and costly gable (for the customers view). Although the deck is PT, I was considering sinking cedar 4x4's into the ground for asthetic reasons, which would look nicer than PT.
thanks for the input.

taking into account a 60psf live/dead for both the roof structure as well as the deck, you are looking at 120sq' l/d on a shared footings (assuming you're going with a shed roof) Make absolute certain that your beam spans, footing area and point loading are acceptable. I would temp up the deck and lose the existing beam and posts and footings. I would triple the rim add hangers and use 4 6x6 ptsyp or steel collums (wrapped in cedar) on 18" footers. additionally I would make damn certain that that the "existing" deck is structurally sound, and the ledger/joist hangers are tip top. I have to admit that I am not a fan of roof structures on existing decks at all
