Best Product For Stripping Stain
I'm looking for the best product to strip stain off existing treated lumber. The product origionally applied was made by Sikkens. Its pealing in alot of spots. Cost of the product is not a concern, I need what will work the best. Thanks!!

Re: Best Product For Stripping Stain
i would try a strong power washer 3000 psi + maybe a good deckwash through the siffen hose.
i never use any kind of strippers to remove stain just good old free water..!

Re: Best Product For Stripping Stain
3000+ psi would damage the wood. I have a 3750 psi washer and would think twice about killing it with that. This is a VERY particular customer and I want this to turn out nice. I have to re finish the arbor as well. Can anyone recommend a good product that would penetrate the old remaining stain as well. SW or Cabbots?

Re: Best Product For Stripping Stain
Do not rely on PSI alone, it will damage the wood. I use SW stain & seal remover followed by SW revive. Its a great combination. I pump spray it on and powerwash it off using just the general tip. You are using acid so I recommend using caution and whatever you get the remover on will strip it off so watch the house!

Five Man,,,how can I say this... OK just straight up.
Never use a powerwasher on a deck unless its cut down to 400 lb max and even then with a very wide fan. 3000 psi is total Stupid on any kind of deckx 100 with pt pine. Mc to get that finish off you will need md80/oxalic base brightner, J. |

Re: Best Product For Stripping Stain
Thanks for the ideas! Luckily this is not near a house, but it is by a pool and I'm also re doing all the concrete so stain damage to the concrete is not a concern.
