Artisan Rail

I have a 550 sq' society hill rowhome rooftop deck coming up and have yet to buy or use trex artisan railing. I'm doing trex 2x4 w/deckorators (saddle) but customer wants a white "breadloaf" rail cap, my question is, Their specifier indicates the top rail in a 91.5" and 67.5", can you get just the rail or do they come in kits (t/b rail w/balusters, end hardware)?
anyone know who has just white breadloaf cap rail without the whole section?
tia

Re: Artisan Rail

Chris,

Check with your suppliers, new for this year Trex will be selling by the piece, as well as in a kit. This is to allow the builder to swap out parts- using colored balusters, putting a deck board as a cap rail, etc.

If you need the local Trex rep's info, let me know.
HTH,

Re: Artisan Rail

I'm doing a artisan rail job now. Matt is correct that Trex does sell the individual componets & kits. Not a bad looking rail & I can see it being a easy install on a new deck. Unfortunately for me my job was a replacement rail on an existing deck which has been a total pita for a bunch of reasons. If you do use the kits don't forget to buy the "installation tool", it's a template for where to place the rail brackets, it does not come in the kit.
