Allergic To PT Wood?

I just realized that I seem to have developed an allergy to EcoLife treated lumber.

I got a very severe rash back in January that no doctors could figure out a cause or cure for. It took about three weeks to go away even with serious meds.

I just got the EXACT same rash on Saturday AM. It dawned on me that I was using the exact same wood the day before I developed the first rash. It's a serious case of hives on any exposed skin like my arms and face. It's bad.

I have to contact Viance tomorrow to get the MSDS sheet for the wood to take to a doctor.

I have never had an issue before with any type of PT lumber. Just be careful because if it happened to me, it could happen to you too.

They don't seem to want
their MSDS online.
There is some information on
their chemicals in here though.

Good luck.
I have something like with OSB
on exposed skin.
Usually only for a day or two though.

You should look at buying some barrier cream, should be available over the counter. It should stop the reaction.

I had on e bad reaction to ACQ last year. Dust got in my nose, and it felt like it was broken for about a week. Strangest feeling.

I've gotten some sort of rash lately too. I never could figure out what caused it. Itched like all heck.
