30" Colonial Baluster
Hey guys I've been trying to find a source for some white aluminum colonial round balusters that are atleast 30" long. Just like the deckoraters colonial only 30" long.
The customer picked trex designer rail and she wants classic round balusters with every third one or so being a colonial stlye. I need atleast 30" baluster to maintain a 36" rail height. I have searched all over the net and locally with no luck. Any ideas guys? Thanks, Dave |

Killer Decks makes custom sizes that are cut after powder coating.

Re: 30" Colonial Baluster
While I appreciate the plug, we don't do the colonial, I think that is roled to make the shape. I was thinking you could add a piece of some composite to match at the bottom to add the height you will need. I seriously doubt that there is any colonial balaster anywhere 30" tall. You migh try Menards all they sell is 30" aluminum balusters. Not sure if they have colonial.
The whole decorators brand is also cut after powder coating. steve scholl |

Re: 30" Colonial Baluster
Ok update, I just checked menerds site. They have the 30" in white in the colonial.
Now for my next question ![]() I would rather buy the classic balusters from my local guy if I could. Thanks, Dave |

Re: 30" Colonial Baluster
IF it matters, I would get both types of balusters from the same manufacture. I know that I've seen slight differences using black balusters from different manufacturers.

Re: 30" Colonial Baluster
You customer wanted them to stick out anyways, what would it matter?
You should make your customer do some of this investigating, are you really getting paid for all this research and running around. steve scholl |

Re: 30" Colonial Baluster
Thanks again guys,
Ok I sorta planned on getting both types from the same place, I know I can't be that lucky to have them match ![]() Steve, she is a very good customer, so I don't mind searching around a little bit. Certain other people I would have just said no ![]() Dave |
