Standard P/T deck in Kansas on new construction is 10' x 16' you will get $800 to build it (labor only). View-out basements decks are 5' above ground. You better hope that you are working alone and you can do two in a week. You have to carry your own insurance.
God bless you. I couldn't afford to live on those kinds of rates.

You need to get away from builders. Ain't no one making money working at the bottom of the food chain.

Re: 24x24 Deck

24x24 deck gees thats $3960 canadian in materials alone for a broke ass friend ill do it for $1000 labour but then again why would a broke ass friend want such a big deck ??? weird oh and a 24x24 can be built in 4 days i can do it, full square deck but will have 3 total working on it

day one dig and set after that start framing with temp beam
day 2 finish framing
day 3 start boarding with 2 guys and 1 cutting off the ends of boards to make them flush, what i do to speed up the method of boarding is shoot down the boards with a finishing nailer (PT/Ceadar i do not gap that will take to long) then i come back with a chalk line and snap on all the joices then hammer and screws and tap in the whole deck now 3 people with drills will take easily 3hrs
day 4 the easy part
