Wireless Switches?

I've never used em but, I have a customer with a 3 way set-up with problems in the wall. A carpenter made a splice inside the wall with just tape and no box. I can eliminate this cable and make it electrically safe but fishing this house is going to be difficult and would involve some destruction which I would rather avoid. Has anyone here ever used a wireless switch for this type of situation. I was think maybe I'd wire these lights like a single pole and use the wireless for the switch that I would have difficulty fishing wire to. It sounds feasible to me in this situation. Of course I would assure there isn't voltage remaining on the abandoned cable. Anyone with opinions on this? I know it sounds mickey mouse but the customer would probably be fine with it as he doesn't want to cut into the walls either. Thanks for any input.

Seldom do I use wireless devices, but your situation is one application that is begging for it. Sounds like a perfect solution. RadioRA (Lutron) is a top choice.

Re: Wireless Switches?

I used the same switch MDSHUNK suggested in my sisters condo a number of years ago and it worked great. The battery lasted about 3 years before replacement and that was for a dining room light that saw a lot of action.

Should have noticed from the 'cock'iness of your posts you were from Salt Lake City.

Why don't you buzz off with your pile 'o' crap switches........

Or at least pay Nathan some money for advertising on his site.

I'm not sure if it says so in the rules, but any common dumbass knows advertising is not free. If you have something to sell then go do your little song and dance at the supply house. Nobody cares to see a singing and dancing monkey around here
