I think that's the weirdest I had, though I didn't remember until i tried to recall lv IC cans. We did install these cans somewhere else, but that was some nut job lady that was a commercial lighting designer and wanted them all over her house, oh and of course they had to be made in "Italy"

Re: Wierdest Job Or Service Call
md, we had a guy here that was convinced that TV and radio were 2-way. The gov't was always spying on him. He always wore an aluminum foil hat so that the 'rays' wouldn't get to him.
They're definitely out there.

Re: Wierdest Job Or Service Call
Well I had a service call that involved a stopped sewer line. I reamed the line and pulled out 9 pair of G String panties ! Home owner went nuts! She was about 70 years old and had custody of her 2 grand daughters. Well we know what they were doing then huh?

Re: Wierdest Job Or Service Call
I always like he ones that go something like this, "My outlets stoped working." So, you walk in the door and reset the GFI for them.
This is usually a monthly occurance. Nice huh? |

Re: Wierdest Job Or Service Call
We're currently building a 100k sq' warehouse for a place that stores sex/massage oils. Who knew there'd be such a huge backorder for body rub oils, or that much money in it......
Are you guys buying that crap? |

Re: Wierdest Job Or Service Call
I got an emergency cal for a hoist repair at a Vetrenairy(spelling) Hospitol. Well I got there and they had this freakin Horse gutted open doing surgery on it, while hanging from a 2ton electric chain hoist. They had to roll the horse over or something and the brake coil was fried. I had to manually operate the brake to get this animal down so they could turn him. After a couple up and downs on the ladder, over this horse, I loosened up the brake and set it for "drag" bid them good luck, Ill get that part for ya....They wanted me to stay for the whole surgery....

Re: Wierdest Job Or Service Call Was working as service man few years back and the owner needed a panel swapped out last minute at a mortuary. I knew this remodel job was going but hadn't been on it. I can't even remember exactly why it had to be done right then but there was a reason. This panel was in the basement of an old house they turned into a mortuary. I mean old. I was the only spark sent. So, with the parts that were on the shop floor and the overflow on my van. I changed the panel with a mini mag light in my mouth, CADAVERS were on guerneys in the same room, NO LIGHTS, ALONE, my hair on my neck I'm sure was standing straight out. The place wreaked of embalming fluid, I mean STRONG! I'll never forget that one. Even later I helped on that job. The guy we had planted on it, wouldn't go in the basement even with the lights on without an escort!

Re: Wierdest Job Or Service Call
One client of mine had a unique story. They install interior drainage systems in basements, and had a client calling them. The client's CAT had crawled down where the sump pump was... and crawled into the drainage pipe (which runs under the concrete floor)... and she couldnt get it out!

Re: Wierdest Job Or Service Call
As a kid, I was working a 1926 commercial rehab. A bunch of us were sitting down for lunch and one of the 'new guys' joined us. He knew the complete history of the building from day one, names and everything. There are only five of us who saw that guy, no one had seen him before and no one has seen him since.
Kinda creepy.

Re: Wierdest Job Or Service Call
weirdest job
Back in 1991 We did some commercial casework at Ft Deitrick , Md. Drove right on base (no guard at gate). Found our building and discovered we needed a key card to enter which we didn't have. After hanging around for 15 min an officer came by and used his card for us to enter the building. He Never questioned our purpose for being there. We walked down corridors past all types of glass walled labs full of bio tech research scientists. Hallways had haz mat containers and emergency pull chain showers every 10 ft. Not one person stopped us and asked for I D or why we were there. Did our job and got the hell out of there! One month later we ran into an electrician who did work in the same building. He and 5 other guys had to work at night so as not to interfere with the daily lab functions and were locked in until morning. He told of strange and scary things they witnessed in the basement with experimental animals in cages. These guys were really spooked. The next day they all experienced severe diarrhea and headaches which lasted for three days. They were told later they had to return to do some more work and they all refused to go back. They were given an ultimatum to return or get fired. Everyone of them quit the company they were working for. That was weird.
