What Are You Charging To Upgrade Res. Services?

Most guys in my area quote a T&M rate for overhead upgrades (60/100 amp to 200 amp). There's a few that have one flat rate that includes new panel, breakers, meter base, service cable, inspection, etc.

How do you charge for these? T&M or a flat rate?

And I'm curious, what brand panels are you recommending these days? Service cable or conduit? Just curious what the rest of the US is doing for upgrades.

We charge a flat rate and then add for any problem conditions like tree trimming. We live in a rural area so we use both CH and Square D panels depending on which area we are working in. We have 2 supply houses each on a differnt sides of town. We have to use 2 1/2" rigid for over head and 2 1/2" sch 40 pvc with at least 24" sweeps and 36" sweeps are perfered for underground. The power company pulls and supplys all underground conductors but not overhead so I try and do as much underground as we can.
