Re: Universal Voltage Ballast

Oh yeah, I am seeing them all over.
My supply house was the first place I saw them. He put them all over the warehouse.

Re: Universal Voltage Ballast

We've been putting t-8 high bays in with on an 8' fixture. Volleyball players hate any concentrated lights and with the Olympic Training Center in the area we try to set up all the local gyms that way. ....

Another advantage of t-8 HB is that the schools etc. are already stocking t-8 lamps and ballasts, although not the exact same part number they would do in a pinch.

the reach in coolers are T-8 for now but heard talking may switch over to the LED verison but i did see and i work on one of them with the LED verison on the frezzer and there were some change with connection but the conversion IMO is not too bad at all not really worst than reballast it.

The Walmart frezzer do have motion dectctors so if someone walk up it will lit up and have time delay off it will turn off about a min IIRC if the setting is right.

the wattage of those LED strip i know it was less than 20 watt for sure but excat number i not sure because i did not get a chance to check the wattage / current drawage with clamp on ampmeter.

little bit OT but kinda right track reguarding with the 5 footer T-8's i did ran into both standard and HO verison but not too often.

the T-5's i did work on few of them they are pretty good to me so far i dont have much quirks but only one catch with the T-5's is upper ambent tempture limit that about it the cold not too bad take a min or two get warm up but once it stay warm it work fine.

Merci, Marc

Now that I have accumulated enough posts to post links...

The study showing consumer preference for LEDs is very recent.
