Ucc And Permits In Pennsylvania
Hi everybody,
I am curious how pulling permits,waiting for plan revue & inspections, using two day wonder municipal tin gods inspectors and all the other bs has affected your buisnesses in pennsylvania.Hasnt helped mine any!cmec |

It shouldn't effect an electrician any. It's only the GC that it might effect.

yesterday
I was asked to change some fixtures on an exterior of a resturant, the township told me I needed an permit and inspection,I called l&i they inturprate the law as[no permit needed on residential work that dosent involve structrual changes but anything commercial or industrial even fixtures and ballast requires a permit and inspection] ps md your about as much an fry cook as I am a painter cmec |

That's news to me. I thought L&I was totally out of the loop now. I haven't had to deal with them for several years now. I have yet to pull a building permit for electrical work. Sometimes I need a local electrical permit, but I've never had to get a building permit for anything electrical.

l&i police everything up,
The municapality opted in or out. Opt in municapalties designate a code administrator and inspectors for residential and commercial.In opt out municapalites on residential the contractor brings his own 3rd party in, on commercial you have to use l&i. I have a friend in bedford who just went thru them,they made him do things I would of challenged but he was working time and materials so |
