Transformer Needed...


i am looking at a 1hp machine that runs on 440/3 I only have 240v/3 in my shop.
where can i get a (cheap) 240/3 primery to 440+/- /3 transformer?

or is there such a thing?
Budget is 100 - 150USD

You can order that transformer at any electrical supply house. You need to know the amp draw or horsepower of the machine from its dataplate to get the additional information that you'd need to order a properly sized transformer. There's no way in the world you'll get one for 100-150 bucks, so get that out of your head.

Thats 100 for the transformer and 50 to install it!

Did you look to see if you can change the motor connections to 240 volts? Most 3 phase motors are dual voltage. No transformer required, 0$.
