Facebook contractor forum.

You would be surprised (or maybe not) how many guys didn't "get it".

Obviously one has to simply move the double switch to the left side.

But seriously, maybe (hopefully for his sake) the guy was just at the end of a long, bad day.

Re: Specialty Cover

The fella posted it as a joke.

Guess you could call it visual dead-pan humor.

It was all the replies that showed too many didn't "get it".

Thats like the contractor who said he couldn't use this nail to nail the siding on because the head was on the wrong side of the nail. His buddy said no that nail is for the other side of the house.

Re: Specialty Cover

True story:

A woman goes to a hardware store and asks for a 20x16 furnace filter. The store manager takes her to where they are, and pulls out a 16x20 filter.

The woman says, "No, I need on that's 20x16, not 16x20."

The manager takes it from her, rotates it 90 and hands it back to her.

She says, "No. This still says it's 16x20. I need one that is 20x16......."

She ended up buying the material you can cut with scissors to make whatever size you want.

I immediately regret the moment I meet someone for the first time when something simple like this comes up. I know right away I need to leave. But for some reason I feel that I can help them understand the misunderstanding. And then regret it too when they don't understand.

What's worse is working for someone with flawed logic. Like the want the kitchen sink to be 67 feet from the center of the bedroom window? (Or anything weird like that). And when you ask why they were connecting unrelated dots.

Cust.......well when the house was being built before the inside walls were up. We measured it out from the other wall and the night stand wouldn't fit. So we had them move the bedroom window opening.

Me....... ok well now the walls are up and that room is no longer in view. Why don't we center the sink in the base cabinet which also is center of the window above the sink?

Cust........uh......yeah that's fine........as long as it is 67 feet from the bedroom window.

Me...........(blank stare) (I need to finish this job as fast as I can)
