Slot Machine Sound Agitating

I'm probably breaking the rules here..but I just had a strange request. The job of the ground/neutral..well..her boss asked if I could disable the sound of the slot machine while I was there. I think it's a bally's from the 90's. He said he's an electrician right...don't they fix things like that. Is this over my head or can I just open it up and find the low voltage line to speaker and snip. I'll look like a genius if I can pull this off. Any tips welcome or should I not get involved?

thanks

I would suspect so (it's what I do to the seat belt alarm on my vehicles), but why not put a toggle switch out the back so they can have the sound on or off.

You are able to program them to run wthout sound. Some will have dip switches, some will have a jumper setup and some will have a program sequence by pressing a combination of buttons. If the manual is inside that will tell you. If you cant find the book do the ol toggle switch method mentioned above.

Be a hero. Snip the speaker wire. If they want sound again, splice it back together.

I want to do that on my grandson's stereo.
