Shop Lighting

Our shop has fluorescent ceiling lighting. It's not that big 25 x 30. with 12' ceilings. There are 4 large lights. When we have a large dump truck or excavator in the shop its tight.

Is there any other type of lighting that will throw more light?

Any other suggestions?

Sloped ceiling? From front to back, or from the center? What sort of trusses are we dealing with here? A permanent ceiling, or open to the roof sheathing? Heated, or not?

Re: Shop Lighting

Level ceiling Sheetrocked. The whole shop is sheetrocked, painted white, all shelving is painted white. The walls are covered with shelving or supplies. The shop is heated by hot air furnace and kept at 60 degrees.
