Residential Margins

What overhead and profit are you adding to your bids for new residential construction.

Re: Residential Margins

Mick, the best thing you can do is correctly calculate your overhead based on all your particular costs to be in business, not use some swag that other company's have come up with. That way you will know when you are making money enough to cover all your expenses, and you will also not be losing unaware of your true cost.

Re: Residential Margins

I've actually run into General Contractors who've told me the proper Overhead and Profit was 15% and 10%. LOL
