Remanufactured Breakers???


I was looking up some breakers for a panel box and found (remanufactured) . WHY ?

GE THQP breaker looking for a 30 amp . I never knew or heard of something like that.
I like to know how they remanufacture them , not that i would ever use a remanufactured breaker . There not that much money

We used to rebuild our own PDC & vacuum operated 480 volt breakers at the plant I used to work at,, but I just don't understand the point or how a panel type breaker is rebuilt. Like someone said they are "cheap" I've taken them apart before & the inside of them are like mechanical metal "fingers". They do get dusty inside & other than cleaning them I can't see how they would be rebuilt. Well ,there is a business for it so some people must buy them...........I would not consider it

Altech probably makes the cheapest (excluding chinese copycats) circuit breakers around.
