Question About A Arch Building?

Well I'm back with more questions. Got asked to give an estimate on wiring a arch building, the kind that looks like a barrel cut in half. My question is if any of you have wired one how did you attach your conduit to it. Thought about building a frame down each side to mount conduit, or did you just screw to it. Kinda afraid it would leak if I did that. Maybe a frame built out of kindorf or something but then still got to mount lights somehow. And as far as the service is concerned guess I'll just build one like a mobile home service beside it. Got any ideas?? Thanks again.....

Re: Question About A Arch Building?

I wired two identical "Quonset" brand steel arch buildings in the past. They had ribs on the inside I was able to fasten hangers and kindorf to with self drilling screws. They were tall enough that they had enough "flat" on the outside to mount the service. If yours is shorter, mounting on a pedestal like a mobile home service would be the way to fly.

Re: Question About A Arch Building?

MD thanks for the reply one more question. Did drilling into the ribs not let it leak around the screw or would it be okay. Of course it might not matter because after the conduit is in there going to get the whole building sprayed with rubber insulation.
