I think your missing my point entirely ... so let me clarify.

I personally don't believe that residential PF correction devices do a single bit of good for most customers (as a matter of fact they may actually end up costing the customer more money). There are probably exceptions ... but on the whole i think it's just a scam.

My whole issue is with the way you did your test.

If your going to do a test on electrical equipment then you have to do it in a way that the equipment is most likely to have the advantage, not just in a way that justifies the answer you were looking for before you began.

I am enjoying the debate here, despite knowing NOTHING about electricity. Immanuel, if you have any way of presenting your side of this with a video, I for one would kill to see it. Thats a tall order, I'm sure, but it would be awesome.
