Power-save Electricity Conditioner

Have any of you sparkys encountered the Power-save electricity conditioner? The claim on their web site (power-save dot com) is that it can save the HO up to 25% on their electric bill.

Is it worth it or just another form of snake oil?

...and you can save an additional 50% on top of the 25% !

How this 12inch miracle tube could halve heating bills

Quote:
Amazing British invention creates MORE energy than you put into it - and could soon be warming your home

It sounds too good to be true - not to mention the fact that it violates almost every known law of physics.
But British scientists claim they have invented a revolutionary device that seems to 'create' energy from virtually nothing.
Their so-called thermal energy cell could soon be fitted into ordinary homes, halving domestic heating bills and making a major contribution towards cutting carbon emissions.

It's a bunch of crap. If you want the technical details, I can do that for you too. The short story is... save your money.

Re: Power-save Electricity Conditioner

I believe it was Einstein that said 'energy cannot be created or destroyed'

But he also said "E=Mc squared"
Or "Energy = Mass x Speed of Light squared"
Or 1gram x 299,792,458meters/second squared = the amount of energy in 1gram of mass.

It's a tough concept, but to try to put it in perspective; photons are a form of energy, I don't know what a light bulb fillament weighs but if it were to produce light for possibly a million years you might see in a difference in it's weight.

I don't know anything about this product(except what the elusive "ad" said), but there is more energy in a single molecule of mass than most can imagine.

Though I'm sure everyone can imagine the old guys in the late 18/early 19 hundreds when people spoke of electricity 'lighting' every city in the world. The difference is I think people are much more pessimistic/proud these days.

I though Al said: MATTER can not be destroyed or created, only changed.

I believe it was Fred Flintstone that said "Yabba dabba doo". I'm still not sure what that means.

Interesting coincidence:
Whenever gas prices go up, strange new and amazing inventions crop up.

Do a web search for the term "burning salt water" for another amazing "invention"...just look for where it states how much energy was used to produce the RF...can't seem to find it myself.

Re: Power-save Electricity Conditioner

I watched the videos on the website and was trying to figure out why they would not leave all of the wires in plain view.
