Overhead Sub Feed, Insulators.
Kind of a stupid question, what are the technical names for the porcelain insulators used for mounting overhead sub panel lines to a wood pole, and name for the lanyard used for landing the Bare conductor to the insulator. what types does this come in, lag, thru-bolt etc. Im working at this old ranch with a ton of overhead feeds, and need to fix some of the sagging feeds, and replace a leaning pole used for distribution. thanks in advance.

The lag type is called a "house knob". I don't really recommend those for a pole. Get the through bolted type, more commonly called a "one point rack" for work on a wood pole. |
