Outdoor Sign Light
I have a customer who has a 4x8 sign on the side of his business that needs illumination, I will have to put it below the sign 30", in your experience which light would be the best to use for the job, would 2 flood lights be the best or 1- 500 watt halogen light be ample.

Re: Outdoor Sign Light
Do not use a double ended quartz lamp. They're prone to failure. Use something more along the lines of a 70 or 150 watt metal halide flood.

Re: Outdoor Sign Light
I like to use this fixture to light signs. It has a remote ballast that mounts inside.
