Old Install Pics


I was lookingat some of the pictures in the electrical threads, and there was some really cool pics of old electrical equipment. Anybody got and pics like that.

I've got some of that knob & tube in my house. When I first moved in and had a new 200 amp panel put in, the electrician was fine with tying it in. It was around 100 yeas old and worked, too.

(Since then I've disconnected it all and replaced it with Romex.)

in the second pic it looks like a tube was used to protect wire to wire contact

I've got a two story Colonial 1920's home that's got half and half... you never have time to work on your own house it seems... Replacing with 12/2 is on the menu for this summer.
