Oil Filled Rad---$ To Run ?

How much does it cost to run one of these? we have a few in my shop, i am just trying to get some rough idea. Brand is Pelonis, model#HO0218. 120V AC 60Hz 1500W. IT has low-med-high, and a thermostat-min/max. I USUALLY dont go beyond med, and keep the therm in the middle. thanx. G

Quite inefficient.

Lets say "Medium" is 1000w.

1000w x 1 hour of usage is 1 KWH.

1 KWH x number of hours of usage = Exact Power Consumption Costs. (Hours x Watts/1000 = KWH)

Check your Con-ed or LIPA bill for the rates.

I had one once. My biggest gripe was the lack of radiant or forced air Heat Flow.

Re: Oil Filled Rad---$ To Run ?

Numbers as posted above.

Around here with rates from .07 residential to .10 commercial and at assumed medium setting of 1000 watts it will cost .07 to .10 a hour per heater. Or the same as 10 100 watt light bulbs.

8 hours a day, 22 days a month, it would cost $12.32 to $17.60 a month per heater.
