Need Vendor For...
I'm hunting a vendor for the old pushbutton switches. Not the single pushbutton "tap switch" or whatever from the 70's. I mean the really old ones from the 20's with one button for 'on' and another button for 'off'. The single pole version normally had a mother of pearl insert for the 'on' button. The 3 and 4 ways were two black buttons. I can get the cover plates, no problem. The switches are troublesome to find. My regular supply house can get them for me with an obnoxoius lead time and an even more obnoxious price. Ideally, I'd like to find a place that can put them at my shop in a day or so.

Try here.
http://www.houseofantiquehardware.com/hdw_repo.htm I took just a few seconds, Googled this "replacement antique electrical switches push button mother of pearl" and had more hits than I cared to post. Try it you'll like it.
