Lighting Maintenance Services?
i am curious if any of you specialize in lighting maintnance, or do it. Mainly HID lighting, parking lot and building lighting, signs etc. I'm intrested in getting a bucket truck to offer lighting service. I have a lot of experience with lighting and think there might be a chance to get some customers around here.
Anys im curious if anyone works on a contract with large lots or propertys. And if you have any input. I have worked for a shop who had contracts thst charged per light, per month. For lamp, ballast, etc. And checked all lights monthly for outages. Does any one do this or have any input on it? How to make something like that work? Bucket truck expenses? I wouldnt mind dealing with high reach construction jobs . On top of the misc project i already do? Just brain storming... |

Re: Lighting Maintenance Services?
I do that sort of work, but don't have service contracts. Just on a call by call basis. It seems most of the people with parking lot lights wait until there's a few out, then they call to get them all fixed at once. Plastic sign lighting, for some reason, are "emergencies" to many customers.

Re: Lighting Maintenance Services?
So basically you do it on a time and material basis? i cant see the contract working unless you obtain enough accounts. Its seemed like a cool idea for the company i did it for, a good budgeting tool for the property, X amount of dollars for the whole lot to be maintained and not having to call in outages.
what size truck do you work out of? (maximum reach) and does it come in handy for contruction jobs? Its seems like when i had mine we had people calling to just get out of reach stuff done (banners etc) i havent punched any numbers, but i dont know if it would be realistic to have one as a general service/ work truck if it wasnt being used to what it suppose to be. (cost wise i mean) thanks guys |
