Instant Hot Water Tanks

This is more a question for my fellow Canadian electricians.

Does anybody know if our code talks about the installation of instant hot water tanks. I can find a section on storage tanks but nothing on the instant hot water tanks.

Thanks
Darren

I don't know of any specific codes for them. Just make sure you have a means of disconnect and proper rated wire. What do you want to know about them. Is in an electric one under a sink or is it one for whole house that is gas? If you have one for house and it is mounted on exterior of house the plumbing inspector may want a heat tape put on pipes so you will need a recptacle there.
