Re: How To Know If Unknown Wire Is "neutral Or Ground"?
Geez....I can't believe all the responses to an obvious gag thread. You guys are wound up much too tight!
![]() After the guy's 3rd or 4th identical response, it was obvious that he was intentionally riling you guys up.

I really don't think he would have a reason to try and wind anyone up over there,so I believe he was just a thick-headed DIYer looking to make a quick buck off his landlord for doing work he shouldn't have been doing and putting himself and other occupants of the home in danger.

Re: How To Know If Unknown Wire Is "neutral Or Ground"?
This was classic. We had another thread by this guy on the DIY chatroom. Both hilarious.
Here And we all know, because something has worked for 15 years, that means it will continue to work safely indefinitely, no matter how jacklegged it is and no matter what additional hacking we do to it. Last edited by InPhase277; 08-29-2009 at 01:19 PM. |

Re: How To Know If Unknown Wire Is "neutral Or Ground"?
Just because the landlord doesn't want to pay to have it done properly doesn't mean professionals on here should help you to do it.
This guy is hopeless. I hope it's the side he lives on that burns and some other poor tenant doesn't suffer for the landlord and this guy's stupidity.
