Generator Question
We never use generators but for this job we borrowed a 8 hp 4400 watt machine and need to use it to put siding on. Got her all cleaned and tuned and ready to fire. Not sure if it's gonna cut the mustard for being able to run a small pancake compressor and a saw at the same time. Care to speculate? We haven't been out to the job with it yet. Got any generator stories for me?

Re: Generator Question
How many amps does the compressor draw?
How many amps does the saw draw? Just for arguments sake... if the saw draws 20 amps at 120 volts, you'll be using up 2400 watts. If the compressor has an amperage rating multiply that number by whatever the required compressor voltage is to find out the number of watts you'll need. If they go beyond the magic 4400 watts then u can (obviously) only use one appliance at a time. |

Re: Generator Question
If it's a sidewinder, and a
normal pancake, 15A each should be max. Elsewise we'd be SOL on most remodels.
