Fire Marshal Requires Electrical Survey

due to a recent inspection by the fire marshal, an 'electrical survey of all wiring' is required. The facility is two buildings about 19,000 sqft in all. Can anyone tell me about an electrical survey?

Re: Fire Marshal Requires Electrical Survey

I received a quick reply from the fire marshal conducting the inspection. For places where the public gathers (this is a church facility), a state lcensed inspection agency must come in once every five years to conduct an inspection of the wiring. I'm not sure the specifics, but I suppose its to look for frayed wiring, loose covers or other potential hazards.
